Anjolen conducts both external and internal penetration testing to help mitigate security issues, weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
External Penetration Testing
A Penetration Test is the practice of simulating as closely as possible the effect that cyber threats could have on a network. It is a simulation of a real-world attack on targeted assets using the same tools and techniques that modern hackers and cybercriminals use.
An external network penetration test is designed to test the effectiveness of perimeter security devices such as firewalls, VPN concentrators, servers and other external facing devices.
Internal Penetration Testing
A Penetration Test is the practice of simulating as closely as possible the effect that cyber threats could have on a network. It is a simulation of a real-world attack on targeted assets using the same tools and techniques that modern hackers and cybercriminals use.
An internal network penetration test is designed to test the effectiveness of security controls on network devices such as endpoint computers, file servers, domain controllers, switches, VLANs, peripherals, etc.
